can cross the blood-brain barrier and produce toxic effects on the
central neural system, resulting in low learning and memory abilities,
especially in children.

Fluoride and lead are two common pollutants in the environment. Previous investigations have found that high fluoride exposure can increase the lead burden.

Exposure to environmental pollutants and drugs can result in
pathophysiological situations in the body. Research in this area is
essential as the knowledge on cellular survival and death would help in
designing effective therapeutic strategies that are needed for the
maintenance of the normal physiological functions of the body.

"... prospective studies of children's cohorts that applied sensitive
neurobehavioral methods supported the notion that the brain is uniquely
vulnerable to toxic damage during early development. Lead,
methylmercury, and arsenic thereby serve as paradigm neurotoxicants
that provide a reference for other substances that may have similar
adverse effects. Less evidence is available on manganese, fluoride,
and cadmium, but experience from the former trace elements suggest
that, with time, adverse effects are likely to be documented at
exposures previously thought to be low and safe."
At the time, what was wrong with the horses was a complete mystery, but in 2003, something in the horse’s behavior tipped them off. During the winter of 2003/2004, the Justus’s got a lot of snow. They keep a 100 gallon tank of the city’s fluoridated water outside for the horses to drink from, but once the snow came in, the horses virtually shunned the bucket of water. The bucket that was usually refilled every 24-36 hours was staying full for weeks at a time while the horses ate snow to get their water.
<div 3px="" margin:="" style="float: right;">

Interestingly enough, while the horses were eating snow and avoiding the tank of water, their symptoms began to disappear. But what happened when the snow melted away?
Cathy explains in an interview that a small ravine runs through their property when the snow is melting. In what appears to have been conscious attempts to avoid the fluoridated water, the horses began to dig small pools in which they would drink dirty, muddy water. That’s right. They went out of their way to dig holes to get muddy water to drink in order to keep from drinking the city water.
Cathy and Wayne don’t consider it a coincidence that the horses that drank the most water were the ones that got sicker faster than the rest.
“Horses on average… will drink 10-12 gallons a day. A lactating mare can actually double that amount. Ironic is the horses that we had get the sickest the quickest were the mares that were lactating,” Cathy says.
The speculation here is very much alive. It’s one thing if you’re skeptical about chemical additives in drinking water, but it’s a whole different story when animals try to avoid it completely. However, this case is not only fueled by speculation, but scientific data.

Researchers determined that the horses had in fact been poisoned by fluoride, and the only source of fluoride accessible to the horses on the entire farm was their drinking water. Their symptoms included:

crooked legs

fluorosis

hoof deformities

reproductive issues

hyperostosis and enostosis

reduced bone resorption

“The foregoing clinical and morphological observations, together with the bone fluoride analyses, establish the diagnosis of chronic fluoride intoxication of horses in this study causes by consumption of artificially fluoridated drinking water.” (Lennart P Krook in a 2006 publication)
It had been confirmed. Fluoridated water killed Cathy and Wayne Justus’ 6 horses and possibly their 4 dogs. Not only did they lose their beloved animals, but each horse was worth around $500,000, making it a $3 million loss.
Cathy had been pushing the de-fluoridation of water to her water municipality, but was greeted with denial and ignorance, as they attempted to convince her that fluoride in the water was good (uh, what?). Fortunately, the citizens of Pagosa Springs rose up and demanded that fluoride be taken out of their drinking water. And in 2005, it worked.
The dangers of fluoride are not a mystery, nor a conspiracy. To put it into the simplest terms: drinking fluoride is not good for your body period. The people of Pagosa Springs are a prime example of what happens when a community is educated and decides to join together and make a change. Unfortunately, it took the deaths of animals for it to be a valid issue in the eyes of many, but nonetheless, they beat it.
Please share this around and help educate your community on the dangers of fluoridated water. Perhaps you’ll see changes in your own community!

FACT SHEET

Facts About Hydrogen Fluoride (Hydrofluoric Acid)

What hydrogen fluoride is

Hydrogen fluoride is a chemical compound that contains fluorine. It can exist as a colorless gas or as a fuming liquid, or it can be dissolved in water.

When hydrogen fluoride is dissolved in water, it may be called hydrofluoric acid.

Hydrogen fluoride also can be released when some other fluoride-containing compounds such as ammonium fluoride are combined with water.

Where hydrogen fluoride is found and how it is used

Hydrogen fluoride is used to make refrigerants, herbicides, pharmaceuticals, high-octane gasoline, aluminum, plastics, electrical components, and fluorescent light bulbs. Sixty percent of the hydrogen fluoride used in manufacturing is for processes to make refrigerants.

Hydrogen fluoride is also used for etching glass and metal.

How you could be exposed to hydrogen fluoride

In a natural disaster, you could be exposed to high levels of hydrogen fluoride when storage facilities or containers are damaged and the chemical is released. This release could occur at an industrial site or even a retail location.

You could be exposed to hydrogen fluoride if it is used as a chemical terrorism agent.

If you work in an occupation that uses hydrogen fluoride, you may be exposed to this chemical.

You may be exposed to hydrogen fluoride as part of a hobby.

How hydrogen fluoride works

Hydrogen fluoride goes easily and quickly through the skin and into the tissues in the body. There it damages the cells and causes them to not work properly.

The seriousness of poisoning caused by hydrogen fluoride depends on the amount, route, and length of time of exposure, as well as the age and preexisting medical condition of the person exposed.

Breathing hydrogen fluoride can burn lung tissue and cause swelling and fluid accumulation in the lungs (pulmonary edema).

Skin contact with hydrogen fluoride may cause severe burns that develop after several hours and form skin ulcers.

Immediate signs and symptoms of exposure to hydrogen fluoride

Hydrogen fluoride gas, even at low levels, can irritate the eyes, nose, and respiratory tract. Breathing in hydrogen fluoride at high levels or in combination with skin contact can cause death from irregular heartbeat or from fluid buildup in the lungs. Even splashes of hydrogen fluoride on the skin can be fatal. Skin contact with hydrogen fluoride may cause no immediate signs of exposure.

Swallowing only a small amount of highly concentrated hydrogen fluoride will affect major internal organs and may be fatal.

Often, patients exposed to low concentrations of hydrogen fluoride on the skin do not show effects right away. Severe pain at the exposure site may be the only symptom for several hours. Visible damage may not be shown until 12 to 24 hours after the exposure.

Depending on the concentration of the chemical and the length of time of exposure, skin contact may cause severe pain at the point of contact; a rash; and deep, slow-healing burns. Severe pain can occur even if no burns can be seen.

Showing these signs and symptoms does not necessarily mean that a person has been exposed to hydrogen fluoride. Other chemicals also can cause these effects.

Long-term health effects of acute exposure to hydrogen fluoride

People who survive after being severely injured by breathing in hydrogen fluoride may suffer lingering chronic lung disease.

Burns caused by concentrated hydrogen fluoride may take a long time to heal and may result in severe scarring.

Fingertip injuries from hydrogen fluoride may result in persistent pain, bone loss, and injury to the nail bed.

Eye exposure to hydrogen fluoride may cause prolonged or permanent visual defects, blindness, or total destruction of the eye.

Swallowing hydrogen fluoride can damage the esophagus and stomach. The damage may progress for several weeks, resulting in gradual and lingering narrowing of the esophagus.

How you can protect yourself, and what to do if you are exposed to hydrogen fluoride

First, if the hydrogen fluoride was released into the air, get fresh air by leaving the area where the chemical was released.

If the hydrogen fluoride release was outside, move away from the area where the chemical was released.

If the hydrogen fluoride release occurred indoors, get out of the building.

If you are near a release of fluorine or hydrogen fluoride, emergency coordinators may tell you to either evacuate the area or “shelter in place” inside a building to avoid being exposed to the chemical. For more information on evacuation during a chemical emergency, see “Facts About Evacuation” at http://emergency.cdc.gov/planning/evacuationfacts.asp . For more information on sheltering in place during a chemical emergency, see “Facts About Sheltering in Place” at http://emergency.cdc.gov/planning/Shelteringfacts.asp .

If you think you may have been exposed to hydrogen fluoride, you should remove your clothing, rapidly wash your entire body with water, and get medical care as quickly as possible.

Removing your clothing

Quickly take off clothing that may have hydrogen fluoride on it. Any clothing that has to be pulled over the head should be cut off the body.

If you are helping other people remove their clothing, try to avoid touching any contaminated areas, and remove the clothing as quickly as possible.

Washing yourself

As quickly as possible, wash any hydrogen fluoride from your skin with large amounts of water.

If your eyes are burning or your vision is blurred, rinse your eyes with plain water.

If you wear contacts, remove them after washing your hands and put them with the contaminated clothing. Do not put the contacts back in your eyes (even if they are not disposable contacts). If you wear eyeglasses, wash them with soap and water. You can put your eyeglasses back on after you wash them.

Disposing of your clothes

After you have washed yourself, place your clothing inside a plastic bag. Avoid touching contaminated areas of the clothing. If you can't avoid touching contaminated areas, or you aren't sure which areas are contaminated, put the clothing in the bag using tongs, tool handles, sticks, or similar objects. Anything that touches contaminated clothing should also be placed in the bag.

Seal the bag, and then seal that bag inside another plastic bag. Disposing of your clothing in this way will help protect you and other people from any chemicals that might be on your clothes.

When local or state health department or emergency personnel arrive, tell them what you did with your clothes. The health department or emergency personnel will arrange for further disposal. Do not handle the plastic bags yourself.

For more information about cleaning your body and disposing of your clothes after a chemical release, see “Chemical Agents: Facts About Personal Cleaning and Disposal of Contaminated Clothing” at http://emergency.cdc.gov/planning/personalcleaningfacts.asp .

If someone has swallowed hydrogen fluoride, do not induce vomiting. Do not give the person activated charcoal. If the person is alert and able to swallow, have them chew several calcium- or magnesium-containing antacid tablets or take a magnesium-containing liquid antacid along with 1 to 2 glasses of water or 1 to 2 glasses of milk to dilute their stomach contents.

Seek medical attention immediately. Dial 911 and explain what has happened.

If you are sure the person has swallowed hydrogen fluoride, do not attempt CPR unless you are able to take appropriate measures to protect yourself from exposure to hydrogen fluoride. Performing CPR on someone who has swallowed hydrogen fluoride could expose you to the chemical.

How hydrogen fluoride poisoning is treated

The most important thing is for exposed people to seek medical treatment as soon as possible. Your doctor may recommend or use products to help neutralize the effects of poisoning. Calcium gluconate (a calcium sugar) gels, solutions, and medications are used to neutralize the effects.
The year before water fluoridation began in the United States, the
entire dental profession recognized that fluoride was detrimental to
dental health. In fact, in 1944 the Journal of the American Dental
Association reported that using between 1.6 and 4 ppm (parts per
million) fluoride in water would cause
50% of adults to need false teeth. On top of that, the world’s largest
study looked at 400,000 students, revealing that tooth decay increased
in over 25% with just 1ppm fluoride in drinking water.

Yet
still, in 1945, fluoride was put into municipal water systems in
Newburgh, New York, and Grand Rapids, Michigan. Over the next 50 years,
more than 60 percent of the U.S. population was “fluoridated” at a
minimum of 1 ppm. Currently, over 75% of the United States water supply
contains this deadly toxin.

One part of the hoax, “fluoride
helps with tooth formation,” was removed from the “American Fluoride
Campaign” early on. Realizing this might expose the entire campaign as
fraudulent, the FDA and CDC simply removed that language, but kept the
masses believing that fluoride keeps dental cavities at bay.

Over 70% of America still clings to the multi-faceted myth

Research proves that fluoride is an extremely neurotoxic chemical which
interrupts basic functions of nerve cells in the brain and can lead to
Alzheimer’s, atherosclerosis (hardening of the arteries), infertility,
birth defects, diabetes, cancer and lowered IQ. The aluminum “tricks”
the blood-brain barrier and allows chemical access to brain tissue.

Think fluoride is used by the rest of the world? France, Germany,
Japan, Sweden, Denmark, Holland, Finland, India and Great Britain have
all rejected its use after special commissions and health secretaries
reviewed the negative evidence.

Think fluoride cleanses the
water? Fluoride is one of the basic ingredients in military nerve gas.
Sodium fluoride is a hazardous waste by-product from the manufacture of
aluminum and fertilizer, and it is a common ingredient in roach and rat
poisons.

Think fluoride fights cavities and strengthens bones?
Dental fluorosis is often caused by over-exposure to fluoride when the
dental enamel is mineralizing during childhood. Fluoride is unique in
its ability among acids to penetrate tissue, causing soft tissue damage
and bone erosion as it leaches calcium and magnesium from the body.

Think fluoride evaporates from water? Fluoride does not evaporate from
water left sitting out. Also, boiling or freezing won’t help at all, and
basic filters like Brita do not remove it. Reverse osmosis does remove
it, and natural spring water does not contain it.

Because the
ADA maintains a stranglehold on the dental profession, no dentists are
ever openly critical of fluoride. The ADA can influence State Dental
Boards which can take away a dentist’s license, so you won’t hear
anything negative about it from your dentist. Most brands of toothpaste
contain at least 1,000 ppm fluoride, so if a child were to eat an entire
tube, he/she would die.

Fluoride has never received FDA
approval and does not meet “requirements of safety and effectiveness.”
The FDA states that fluoride is a prescription drug. Because this “drug”
is put in municipal water, there is absolutely no control over
individual dosage.

So, why on earth would the USA’s regulatory
agencies allow such a nightmare to perpetuate? In the early 1900′s, when
important vitamins (like B12) were discovered and natural remedies
became popular, medicine was basically unprofitable. Fluoridation was a
planned experiment of mass medication to induce diseases that would
later be “treated” with expensive healthcare, and that is why government
paid healthcare in America is nothing but a pipe dream.

http://fromthetrenchesworldreport.com/u-s-water-fluoridation-began-in-1945-and-continues-today-despite-the-fact-that-the-fda-has-never-approved-it/16749/Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7593257813137701108.post-6981743768446357712012-05-22T13:29:00.003-07:002012-05-22T13:29:48.482-07:00Hitler and Fluoride<h6 class="uiStreamMessage uiStreamHeadline uiStreamPassive" data-ft="{"tn":"B","type":1}">
